 Dr. Siddharth Misra is a Professor of Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University with a joint appointment in the Electrical and Computer Engineering, and is responsible for advancing AI applications for subsurface energy and earth resource exploration and production. Dr. Misra has 19 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has authored two books, developed nine patented technologies, and published 70+ journal publications with 3,000+ citations.

Dr. Misra has a Ph.D. in Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, USA, and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India. Dr. Misra drives workforce transformation across the global energy sector, actively training and upskilling professionals to leverage machine learning and applied AI.
